Niketchrin was a composer and a clarinetist and one of the founders of Russian’s new music in the beginning of a past century.
He probably lived an intense life in a decadentist era and a dark period of contemporary history.
But his existence was never really proofed. His body was never found and his music was never written. Nobody really heard nothing about him and we really don’t know if he did live at all.

But, nowadays, we still can feel the power of his music and the strenght of his soul.
Niketchrin dictates each of the notes of this record from a far distance, from a no-returning and a deep spiritual point.

Between the deep cry and the silence, "Niketchrin" is not an usual live record; it witnesses the musical search and experimentation and it offers a sort of a snapshot of the present musical moment of Marcel•lí Bayer (Barcelona, 1982).

Recorded live by Marcel·lí Bayer on February 21, 2017 at 23 Robadors, Barcelona.

Mixing and mastering by Quim Puigtió "Kato" on March 31st, 2017.

All music was improvised and played live. No overdubs or editings to the original recording were made.
